“Give leave some love” is more than just our motto and mantra, it’s the impetus behind everything we do at Tilt. Today, technology is often used to proxy the feeling of love and support by being there when we need it and offering assurance and trust. Still, technology can’t replace the love that one feels when connected to a beating heart.
As a software company, we will always hang our hats on our technology, but it’s our Leave Success Managers (LSMs) who embody our mission. They are our Empathy Warriors; hellbent on making leave not suck for anyone who ever has, and ever will, need a helping hand and an open heart when life comes calling and work needs to be put on hold.
When an employee gets introduced to Tilt the first thing they’ll see is a personalized leave plan created by their very own Leave Success Manager. Leave plans provide important information about their specific type of leave, dates and deadlines, the general insight on what to expect for their upcoming journey. They’ll also receive a message from their LSM welcoming them:
The Leave Plan itself will be customized to each employee’s specific leave scenario and location outlining everything they need to know ahead of time to set them up for a successful leave journey out of the gate.
In a perfect world where all leaves are the same and all outcomes are predictable…employees still may have a lot of questions before, during and after their leave. The leave process can be confusing and stressful, and uncertainty around a leave of absence is the last thing you want your people to be worried about. It’s also the last thing you have time to research and respond to anytime a leave does go sideways.
Our LSMs are backed by an in-house team of leave law experts so no matter the query or leave journey twist, we’re at the ready to be a guiding light when it’s needed most. We even make that easy also by providing multiple ways to interact with our Empathy Warriors. Aside from email, employees can schedule a time to chat with their LSM, or even do a video call if they need to share a screen for some help walking through a form or submittal.
Tilt understands that some employees might prefer to download the knowledge in the noggins of our LSMs without interaction. With on-demand resources for your employees in our Tilt Help Center, employees that prefer to self-serve their info can do so!
No more Googling the latest leave laws and procedures in states you’ve never stepped foot in. Our Leave Success Managers exist to ease your burden and make your employee’s leave experience a positive one, and that includes handling the most complex questions no matter where your employees are scattered across the country.
Employees taking a leave are often juggling a multitude of to-dos all at once. It’s easy for them to feel overwhelmed which is why when it comes to deadlines and filing paperwork we remove the guesswork by proactively notifying employees when they have upcoming deadlines and what is required to meet those deadlines:
The assurance they get from knowing a real human has their back throughout their leave allows them to focus in the important event or events that might be changing their world outside of work forever.
When a leave is nearing its completion, our LSMs will reach out to the employee to confirm their return to work date for you so that you have the information you need to ensure a successful and positive reboarding. Our LSMs welcome them back to work and even provide resources to their managers within the Tilt Platform to ensure that their transition back to the workplace is a smooth one for all parties involved.
